Grandmaster Gary Nistler (8th Degree) began his study of martial arts at seven years old. Embodying being a life-long learner, he continues his studies today. These include academic studies and monthly training with Masters and Grandmasters across the southeast, including annual training with Grandmasters throughout the United States, England, and Korea.

Grandmaster Nistler loves teaching students of all ages, guiding their journeys along their individual goals.

A graduate of Evans High School, University of Georgia, and Augusta University, GM Nistler has come home to Evans to bring world-class Tiger Rock training to our students. Through our Tiger Rock Academy, he will help care for our community, in particular our Columbia County schools, children, and educators. As a veteran of the United States Army (CPT), he extends this care to our military service members and their families serving on Ft. Gordon.

Across his thirty-five years as a Certified TaeKwonDo Instructor, he has instructed thousands of students across the US, England, and Korea, as well as owning or managing academies in Irmo, SC, Sioux City, IA, and Pensacola, FL. He brings these years of training, experience, and positive attitude to our Evans Academy.

In 2022, Grandmaster Nistler was inducted into the United States TaeKwonDo Grandmasters Society.
